Mildred Virgina Carpenter (Conner) 1926-2021 Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Virginia Conner Carpenter, age 95 a resident of Belington and more recently a resident of Schertz, Texas departed this life early Saturday morning August 28, 2021 in the Resolute Hospital at New Braufels, Texas. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born January 17, 1926 at Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Bruce Wayne and Alma Shock Conner. On September 13, 1950 she was united in marriage to Doyle Richard Carpenter, who preceded her in death April 10, 2013.
She is survived by three sons; Tom Carpenter and wife Pat of Alabama, Dale Carpenter also of Alabama, Bob Carpenter and companion Jeanie of Georgia. Also surviving are one brother; Howard Conner and wife Karen Sue of Alabama, Pamela Clark (adopted daughter by love) and husband Joe, Kelly Clark (adopted granddaughter by love) and husband Rafael, Elena Garcia (adopted great granddaughter by love). Additional survivors include two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two daughters; Debra Sue and Beverly Ann Carpenter, two brothers Carl and Dale Conner, and one sister Jessie Elmer.
Mrs. Carpenter was a graduate of the Buckhannon High School and was a long-time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elkins, WV. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed putting puzzles together. She was a loving and special lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 12 to 2 pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jason Johnson officiating.
