Millee Mae Mick Adams, age 83, of Easton, PA, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2012, passing away peacefully with her family by her side at Easton Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1928 in Hall, WV. The second child of ten siblings, she was the daughter of the late Felton S. and Dorsy (Hinkle) Mick. She is survived by three sons: Thomas E. Adams, Jr. of New Philadelphia, OH; Jon T. Adams, husband of Sarah J. of Allentown, PA; Theodore E. Adams, husband of Nancy of Orefield, PA; a granddaughter: Alexis Rae Adams of Morgantown, WV; sisters: Caroline Fern Mick Jones of New Philadelphia, OH; Shirley Ann Mick Messenger of Hackers Creek, WV; brothers: Rev. Billee Scott Mick of Buckhannon, WV; Clinton Lynn Mick of Hackers Creek, WV; sisters in law: Lumina Mick of Perry Hall, MD; Margie Mick of Bullhead City, AZ; brothers in law: Larry Furr and Jim Messenger, both of Hackers Creek, WV; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Mick Furr; brothers: George O. Mick; Felton Jr. “Skip” Mick; Thomas O. Mick; Jesse A. Mick; Millee was a 1947 graduate of Buckhannon-upshur HS in Buckhannon, WV. She was actively involved as a member of the 4-h Club of Upshur County, WV during that time. She was married in April of 1952 to Thomas E. Adams, Sr. for 38 years. As a pastor’s wife, she spent thirty years teaching Sunday school at the various churches they served throughout the Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church from 1960 thru 1990. She was a member of Christ U.M.C. of Easton, where she created the Nu & Nearly Nu Shop, devoting many tireless hours volunteering to prepare new and used clothing for sale to help clothe those in need in the community from 1977 to 1987. Millee enjoyed being a caring homemaker for her family. She enjoyed vacationing, canning, cooking, gardening, drawing, playing guitar, piano and singing. She was an avid horse lover. Hunsicker Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Orefield, PA is taking care of arrangements. There will be no calling hours locally in Pennsylvania. Viewing hours will be Fri., Sept. 21, from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home of Buckhannon, WV. Millee’s Life Celebration Service will be held on Sat., Sept. 22 at 12:00 pm at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Hackers Creek, WV. A hillside interment near the church will follow at the McVaney Cemetery with the Rev. Billee S. Mick officiating.
