Mr. Willie Lambert, 83, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 20, 2013, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1930, at Middle Mountain, Randolph County, a son of the late Jennings B. and Tina Teter Lambert.
He was formerly married to Geneive Alice Rowan.
On Dec. 19, 1993, he married Charlotte Lambert, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Kevin Lambert and wife, Darlene, of Elkins and Randall Keith Lambert and wife, Cindy, of Montrose; and two stepsons, Lloyd Lambert Jr. and John Lambert both of Elkins. One brother, Delbert Lambert and wife, Gladys, of Elkins; three sisters, Hazel Lambert of Bowden, Gladys Thompson of Alpena and Daisy Thompson of Middle Mountain; one grandson, Kevin Lambert; four stepgrandsons, Aaron Greer, Cody Arbogast, Jayden Lambert and John Lambert Jr.; two stepgranddaughters, Allison and Ashley Lambert; and one stepgreat-grandson, Josh Greer also survive.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Wilson and Frankie Lambert; and one sister, Mary Rowan.
Mr. Lambert attended school at Middle Mountain and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a fork lift operator at Mongold Lumber Co. for 30 years prior to his retirement and loved the outdoors.
At the request of the deceased, his remains will be cremated.
