Nellie Wamsley, 77, a resident of 212 Chestnut St., Philippi, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, in the United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, at Edinburg, Va., a daughter of the late Charles E. and Glendora Heishman Dellinger.
She was united in marriage to Ray Wamsley, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Richard Armstrong, Leesburg, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Regina McDonald, Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister, Arbutus Baker, Lorain, Ohio; one brother, James Dellinger, Amherst, Ohio; two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one grandson.
She was a seamstress. She attended Silent Grove Church.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery near Belington.
