Nina Elizabeth McCourt Fish, 93, of Rosewood Nursing Home, Grafton, for the past five years and formerly of 131 E. Main St., Grafton, died at 5:24 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, in Rosewood Nursing Home.
Mrs. Fish was born Nov. 3, 1908, in Grafton, a daughter of the late Dellet and Valley Payne Knight.
She was twice married. First, she married Charles Edward McCourt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1956. Second, she married Harry Glen Fish, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1983.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Edward Sr. and wife, Martha McCourt, Warren, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Betty McCourt, Grafton; a sister-in-law, Josephine Knight, Chestnut Ridge, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Floyd and Lee Knight; a daughter, Laura Juanita Bennett; two brothers, Charles Edward McCourt Jr. and Arthur Lee McCourt; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Fish was a cook at Inwood Restaurant in Grafton in her earlier years. She later worked at the Childrens Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and retired at Women’s Hospital. She attended Faith Tabernacle in Grafton.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, today after 5 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. W.F. Boylen officiating. Interment will follow in Bluemont Cemetery.
