Nora Long 1914-2000 Obituary
Nora Long, 85, Dry Fork, died Jan. 30, 2000, in Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins.
Ms. Long was born June 17, 1914, in Dry Fork, a daughter of the later Strite Long and Julie Catherine Hedrick.
Surviving are Roy Luther Long, Sammy Long and Phyllis Simpkins, all of Dry Fork; two brothers, Jerald Long, Belington, and Russell Long, Parsons; and four sisters, Rose Jones, Wheeling, Ella Mowery, Dry Fork, Nan Harper, Baltimore, Md., and Lettie Helmick, Youngstown, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lindsay (Lenza) and Kelly Long; and a sister, Mary Vada Long.
Ms. Long was a homemaker and served as a mid-wife nurse for many years.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis today from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be in the funeral chapel Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Eli Hostetler and Harry Vance officiating.
Interment will follow in Roy Bennett Cemetery in Dry Fork
