Nora Mae Barlow Healey, 78, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Hospice Inpatient Care Center. She was born Saturday, October 6, 1934 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Alfred Barlow and Bernice M. Daff Barlow. On February 12, 1953, she was married to Wilbur V. Healey who survives. They had celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage. Nora is also survived by seven children, Victor Healey of Kentucky, Roland Healey and wife Katherine, Jeffery Healey, Gerald Healey, Eric Healey and wife, Sontina, Samantha Healey, all of Elkins, and Tamara Hurst of Kentucky, six siblings, JoAnn Akers, David Barlow, Charles Barlow, all of Montrose, Allen Barlow of Elkins, Beverly Keefer of Norton, and James Barlow of Elkins, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Nora was preceded in death by one son, Vincent L. Healey, one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Healey, one grandson, Jason Healey, and three siblings, Barbara McCauley, Gary Barlow, and Margaret Gum. Nora attended the schools of Tucker County, was a homemaker, and had worked at the J&H Market for thirty years. She was a faithful member of the Refuge Church at Gilman where she played guitar as a member of the praise team. She was an avid shopper, and she enjoyed family and friends and was a mother of all who knew her.. Nora’s request for cremation was honored. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Refuge Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1PM. The Reverend Kevin Gainer will officiate. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Nora Mae Barlow Healey.
