Olive Gillespie Suesli 1916-2002 Obituary
Olive Gillespie Suesli, 86, of Gassaway, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Upshur County, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Martha A. Long Gillespie.
She was a retired schoolteacher with 33 years of service in Braxton, Upshur and Hardy counties.
She was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and was a member and past matron of the Gassaway Chapter 32 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Engel Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Suesli, in 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Alan Wayne Suesli, Gassaway, and James Joseph Suesli, Hamilton; one brother, Paul Gillespie, Canton, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. George Hamrick will officiate and burial will be in the Rock Cave Community Cemetery.
