Ora E. McQuain, 96, of French Creek, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
She was born Aug. 20, 1905, in French Creek, a daughter of the late John W. and Sarah DeMoss Reynolds.
She married Thomas McQuain, who preceded her in death June 15, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Lucile Slaton, Boaz, Ala., and Sarah McMasters, French Creek; a son, French Z. McQuain, French Creek; three grandsons, Thomas McQuain and Robert McMasters, both of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Schoen Slaton, Boaz, Ala.; three granddaughters, Dreama Allison, Trussville, Ala., Patricia Roembke, Ossian, Ind., and Penny Covey, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Robert McQuain; three brothers, Bernard, Artemas and Otha Reynolds; a twin sister, Nora E. Heavner; and a great-grandson, Ian McQuain.
Mrs. McQuain was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Abbott United Methodist Church and the Farm Women’s Club.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ressie Robison and the Rev. David Jesse will officiate, and interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park.
