ORPHA COLLENA NESTOR MOORE 1919-2010 Obituary
ORPHA COLLENA NESTOR MOORE, 90 years, a resident of the Holly Meadows Comm. Parsons, departed this life Wednesday January 20, 2010 at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.
She was born Sunday, August 31, 1919 at St. George, WV, a daughter of the late John Everett and Minnie Jeanette Nestor. She was married to Okey Charles Moore, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Ira Brown Nestor and wife Lena of Union City, OH, Donald Dayton Nestor and wife Josephine of Parsons; three sisters, Nellie Auvil of Bretz, Lottie Jones of St. George, Lora Faye Nestor and husband Daryl of Enterprise, ALA., and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are one brother, Ellis Nestor
She attended the one room Murphy School on Texas Mt. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies where gardening, embroidering and she enjoyed watching Baseball and spending time with family and friends. She will be terribly missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday from 4 to 6 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate and interment will follow at the Pifer Mt. Cemetery at St. George.
