Paul A. DiBacco 1943-2003 Obituary
Let it be joyfully known that Paul Amedeo DiBacco, 59, of Elkins, finished his labors for a kingdom of love and entered eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003.
He was born Feb. 17, 1943, at Thomas, a son of the late John Vincent DiBacco Sr. and Mary Rossi DiBacco.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra Tyykila DiBacco, whom he married on July 18, 1970, at Arlington, Va., the devoted father of Lori Marie DiBacco, Elkins, John Michael DiBacco and wife, Erin, Chenoweth DiBacco, Elkins, dedicated grandfather of Michael Thomas DiBacco, loving brother of the Rev. Father John Vincent DiBacco Jr., Martinsburg, Ann Marie Katz and husband, Ira Katz, Laurel, Md., Mary Agnes Miller and husband, Robert Miller Jr., White Hall, Md., and loving uncle to a niece and several nephews.
He was a graduate of Mountaineer High School, with the class of 1940, Fairmont State College with the class of 1970 and West Virginia University, with a master’s of science degree in rehabilitation counseling in 1974.
He spent 35 years in public service having worked for the West Virginia Forestry Camp at Davis as a teacher.
At the Huttonsville Correctional Center as a counselor in the diagnostic unit and as a counselor and office manager of the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services, retiring in October of 2000.
He was a member of Tygarts Valley Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, Council 603. He attended the Saint Brendan Catholic Church, and for the past two years served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Saint Brendan Catholic Church.
Today, at 7 p.m. at the church, a prayer service will be recited by the Rev. Father William Anderson.
On Saturday morning, at the church, the Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father John Vincent DiBacco Jr., and the Rev. Father William Anderson will be the presiders and interment will follow at Saint Brendan Cemetery at Elkins.
