Paul Dwight Haller 1944-2021 Obituary
Mr. Paul Dwight Haller age 76 a resident of Belington, West Virginia departed this life 2:15 AM Wednesday August 11, 2021 in the Hospice Unit of the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV. Death was following a period of failing health.
Mr. Haller was born November 24, 1944 at Moatsville, West Virginia a son of the late Bryan Clifford “Doc” Haller and Myrtle Cline Haller. He was united in marriage in 1990 to the former Erika Don Johnson who preceded him in death on July 30, 2019.
He is survived by two children Johnny Haller and Susie Haller (address unknown), two stepchildren, Tara Sandusky and husband Erik of Greer, South Carolina and Jarrod Price and wife Nikki of Belington, West Virginia.
Additional survivors include five brothers; Junior Haller and wife Louetta of Nestorville, West Virginia, Darwin Haller and wife June of Moatsville, West Virginia, David Haller and wife Linda of Tacy, West Virginia, Erwin Haller of Meadowville, West Virginia, Richard Haller and wife Nancy of Morgantown, West Virginia, one sister Thelma Ervin of Nestorville, West Virginia. Also surviving are several grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two special caregivers Jamie Shahan and Tabitha Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Kenneth Paul Haller.
Mr. Haller attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of the Philip Barbour High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army proudly serving during the Vietnam war. He was formerly employed with Kingsford Charcoal, and D&R Distributing from which he retired. He was an avid fisherman and farmer and enjoyed watching old western movies. He was a Protestant by faith and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8pm Sunday August 15, 2021 from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington and again on Monday August 16, 2021 from 8am to 11am the funeral hour when services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery at Grafton, West Virginia where full military rites will be conducted.
