Ralph R. Heavner 1933-2003 Obituary
Ralph Roosevelt Heavner, 69, of 249 Hillcrest Drive, Mooresville, N.C., died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
He was a mechanic. He was in the U.S. Army.
He was born in Webster County, on May 27, 1933, a son of the late Lester and Dorothy Hamrick Heavner.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Christopher Heavner; two sons, Joseph Allen Heavner, Mooresville, N.C., and Jess Heavner and wife, Beverly, Frankford; two daughters, Patricia Keller and husband, Matthew, Mooresville, N.C., and Terry McClunge and husband, Bruce, Frankford; one brother, Roland Heavner, Mingo Junction, Ohio; four sisters, Rosalie Slaven, Cass, Betty Defibaugh, Durbin, Ruby Richards, Cleveland, Ohio, and Audra Summerfield, Beverly; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Wood in charge. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today at Neill Funeral Home, 627 Gum St., Mooresville, N.C., from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Neill Funeral Home is serving the Heavner family.
