Regena Faye Rush Johnson, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
In the words of Charlene Farrell:
In memory of my mother Regena Faye Rush Johnson. September 21, 1937-November 12, 2020. She passed away at 83 due to COVID pneumonia. She was born in Mill Creek but spent about 30 years in Ohio. She moved back to Mill Creek and spent the rest of her life in WV. My mom leaves behind one daughter Charlene Farrell, myself. Her daughter, my sister, Jenny Jerrell, passed away nearly 3 years ago. She also leaves behind her beloved sister Janet Dumire and brother, Robert Rush. My mom has talked fondly of her 53-year marriage to my Dad, Charles Johnson. She had many nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She loved them and they loved her back. I would like to mention her good friend James Arbogast, who was there for happy and difficult times. Mom took pride in her home, always keeping it tidy. She enjoyed planting flowers and had beautiful gardens. She enjoyed mowing her grass. Summer was her favorite season. Mom had many dogs in her life she truly loved and left 6 cats she also loved dearly still waiting for her at home. My Mother was always a beautiful woman, liked to look her best every day, even at 83. She really had fun with new clothes. My mom’s best trait was her resilience to conquer all challenges that life gave her. My Mom and I tho so many miles apart talked on the phone nearly every day. I feel like I knew her well. She was a kind and caring Mother and I will think of her each day. She will always be in my heart, memories and I will sincerely miss her. I can only wish that we had more time ahead of us together. I loved my mom more than words can express, I only had one “mom” and no one can ever replace her. A terrible virus took her from me, please everyone, stay safe.
At the family’s request, Regena was cremated.
