Rev. Donald R. Ball 1935-2018 Obituary
Rev. Donald R. Ball of Pennsville passed away on April 21, 2018. Born in West Virginia, Rev. Ball was the son of Earl & Ena Tenney Ball. Throughout his life, Rev. Ball’s passion was serving the Lord, spending time with his family and the church. For many years he was the lead pastor for the United Pentecostal Church in Deepwater, now the Deepwater Community Church, which he started in the early ’60s. He was also well known for visiting folks while riding his Harley in a three piece suit.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruby (nee: Maynard), his two sons, Nate and his wife Kim and Timothy and his wife Tara, five grandchildren, Timothy II, Tabitha, Jacob, Caleb and Hannah, seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Sharon Gaertner and Elva Tekavec. In addition to his parents, four siblings predeceased him, Virgil, Robert, William and Violet.
All services will be held at the Deepwater Community Church, 564 N. Broadway, Deepwater, NJ 08023. The viewing will be held on Tuesday night, April 24, 2018, from 7 PM until 8:30 PM and again Wednesday morning, April 25th, from 10 AM until 11 AM. Service will follow at 11 AM with interment at Lawnside Cemetery.
