Rhoda Dalton George Jr Obituary 1949-2020
Mr. Rhoda Dalton George Jr., age 70, a resident of Junior departed this life Sunday November 29, 2020 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. He had been declining in health but death was unexpected.
He was born December 10, 1949, at Mabie, WV, a son of the late Rhoda Dalton Sr. and Daisy Pearl Amos George. On December 31, 1969 he was united in marriage to the former Karen Sue Perry, who preceded him in death, May 8, 2005.
He is survived by three sons; Brian George of Belington, Rodney George and wife Samantha of Flemington, and Randall George of Junior, two step-children; Danny Hedrick and Amber Delauder, two brothers; Larry George of Junior and Jerry George and wife Pamela of Ohio, one sister; Shirley Delauder and husband Ronnie of Belington. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four siblings; Patty Watson, Elmer George Sr., Charles George, and Ruth Swiger.
Mr. George attended the schools of Taylor County and was Protestant by faith. He was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private family visitation will be conducted from the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington on Friday December 4, 2020. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Bailey Ridge Cemetery near Buckhannon with the Pastor Rick Hymes officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Talbott Funeral Home P.O. Box 879 Belington, WV 26250 to help with final expenses.
