Richard L. Beckner 1953-2003 Obituary
Richard Lynn Beckner, 50, of 1-A Factory St., Buckhannon, died Sunday, May 11, 2003, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
He was born Feb. 13, 1953, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Charles Samuel and Reva Mae Robinson Beckner.
Surviving are one son, Richard Lynn Beckner Jr., Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Rebecca Phillips and Angel Beckner, both of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, James Beckner, David Beckner and Daniel Beckner, all of Buckhannon; eight sisters, Sharon Posey and Hazel Whitley, both of Painesville, Ohio, Betty Riffle, Weston, Karen Nethken, Beverly, Reta Buss, Winchester, Va., Connie Canter, Volga, Linda Mealey, Buckhannon, and Nancy Durant, Buckhannon; and one grandson, Blaze Phillips, Charlotte, N.C.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Dortha Beckner; and three brothers, Leonard Beckner, Ronald Beckner and William Beckner.
He was a truck driver and a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor Mike Westfall officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Church Cemetery.
