Richard Lee Marstiller, age 78 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Friday morning, March 5, 2021 at the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, WV with his loving family by his side.
He was born Saturday, April 11, 1942 at Elkins, WV, a son of the late Howard C. Marstiller and Virginia Courtney Marstiller Isner. On December 22, 1983 at Elkins, WV, he was married to the former Dianne Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mitchum Lee Marstiller and wife Amy of Elkins; one brother Phillip Isner and wife Barb of Elkins; two sisters, Linda Zirbs and husband Mike of Elkins and Donna Lamb and husband Boone of New Bern, NC; three grandchildren Emberlee Faith Marstiller, Delia Mae White and Kipton Douglas White.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, William Marstiller and James Marstiller; one sister, Bobbie Haymond; and one step-son, Wesley J. Gibson.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1959, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired in 2015 from Davis Memorial Hospital after twenty-three years of service working as an HVAC Mechanic and Master electrician and plumber. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29, and a member of the First United Methodist Church at Elkins. He loved his grandkids, wife, son, sisters and brothers. He was very fond of his friends he worked with as well during his career.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins, WV on Wednesday from 4 PM to 6 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11 AM. The Reverend Dr. Marvin L. Parli will officiate and interment will follow at the American Legions Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale, where the Joint Base Andrews Honor Guard, the H.W. Daniels Post #29 American Legion and the Tygart Valley Post #3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military honors. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Richard Lee Marstiller.
