Robert Earl “Bob” Rhodes, 62, of Seneca Rocks, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, in Grant County Nursing Home where he had resided since May 15, 1995.
Mr. Rhodes was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Glady, a son of the late McClellan Rhodes and Della Baker Rhodes.
He married Rella Cooper Rhodes, who survives. They had been married for 37 years.
Also surviving are a son, Richard W. Rhodes, Seneca Rocks; a daughter, Rita A. Rhodes, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Della Mae Cork, Stuarts Draft, Va.; two brothers, Roger Rhodes and Roy Rhodes, both of Glady; two grandsons, Corey and Tyler Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rhodes worked for General Motors in Baltimore, Md., and Adell Polymers Inc. in Petersburg for several years. He was a member of Glady Church of the Brethren and attended Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Seneca Rocks.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Schaeffer Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Paul O’Gorek and Pastor Barbara K. Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in Cooper Family Cemetery in Seneca Rocks. Memorial donations may be made to Grant County Nursing Home, 27 Early Ave., Petersburg, W.Va. 26847.
