Robert Lee “Bob” Delauder 1940-2022 Obituary
Mr. Robert Lee “Bob” Delauder, 82, a resident of Belington, departed this life Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at his home. Death was following a period of declining health.
He was born Feb. 1, 1940, at Belington, West Virginia, a son of the late James Mirl and Bessie Audra Harris Delauder.
On Sept. 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to the former Margaret June Corley, who survives at their home in Belington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Robert Allen Delauder and wife, Joyce, of Louisiana, Robin Ann Delauder of Belington, Michael Lynn Delauder and wife, Donna, of Moundsville, and David Lee Delauder and companion, Donna Phillips, and her son, Gary, of Belington; one sister, Mary K. Foy of Volga; and special friend, Tim McGee and wife, Paula, of Belington.
Additional survivors include grandchildren, A.J. Delauder, Christopher Delauder and Jaanaa Bremmer; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Barrett and Alaya Bremmer, Octavia and Raven Delauder; and step great-grandchildren, Natasha and Isaiah Kidwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ona Lean Delauder; and one brother, James Delauder.
Bob attended the schools of Barbour County and was a member of the Weaver Church of the Nazarene. He was a life-long coal miner, retiring from the Consol Coal Company.
Bob loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and farmer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St., on Tuesday March 1, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating.
Interment will then follow in the Concord Cemetery near Belington.
Due to Covid restrictions, masks are recommended while paying respects in the funeral home.
