Robert Lee Gribble, 69, of 260 Fern Forest Court, Fort Mill, S.C., died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Philippi, a son of the late William Edward Gribble and Elizabeth Nester Gribble.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Nicholas McNutt Gribble; four sons, Randy Gribble of Tega Cay, S.C., Frank McNutt and Dale McNutt, both of Canton, Ohio, and Roger McNutt of Fort Mill, S.C.; four daughters, Anna Query and Cindy Roberts, both of Fort Mill, S.C., Pamela Osborne of Canton, Ohio, and Denise Gribble of Clover, S.C.; two sisters, Ann Humphrey and Martha Adams, both of Nestorville; 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie May Blackburn.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt St., Fort Mill, S.C. and other times at home, 260 Fern Forest Court, Fort Mill, S.C. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Sisk Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. George Dye officiating. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at the Salvation Army in Canton, Ohio, with the Majors James and Blanche Reynolds officiating at 6 p.m.
