Robert Lee McDonald, Sr., age 60, a resident of Elkins, WV, passed from this life Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Davis Memorial Hospital. Robert was born Wednesday, March 12, 1952 at Elkins, a son of the late Raymond Hansel McDonald and Lonie Thompson McDonald. He was married to the former Goldie Marie Vanpelt who survives. Robert attended the schools of Randolph County. He was employed as a general laborer in the carpentry and construction fields. Robert was a lifelong resident of Randolph County who loved the outdoors. Left to cherish his memories is his son, Robert Lee McDonald, Jr., his two brothers, Johnny McDonald and Roger McDonald both of Cravensdale, and several nieces and nephews.
