Robert Lee Ott, age 73, a resident of Valley Bend, WV, passed from this life Thursday morning, May 31, 2012, at his residence. Robert was born Saturday, October 1, 1938 at Mannington, a son of the late C. Lee Ott and Luetta Swiger Ott. On October 17, 1969, he was married to the former Denny Jo Psolla, who survives at Valley Bend. Robert is survived by a son, Robert Lee Ott, II and wife, Doretha, a step daughter, Pamela Thoman, all of Valley Bend, seven sisters, Arlene Stone and husband, Ron, Shelia Rodgers and husband, Dave, Shirley Morris, Mary Lee Hough and husband Bud, all of Ohio, Dorothy Cousin of Pennsylvania, Pat Sienko, and Debbie Ziegler both of Florida, three grandchildren, Andrea Smith and husband, Matt, Tosha Ott, and Brandon Ott all of Valley Bend, four great grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith, Austin Smith, Arianna Smith, and Preston Smith all of Valley Bend, one special niece, LeighAnn Taylor and husband, Matt of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Robert in death was a step father, Webb Arbogast, a step mother, Louise Ott, a step son, David Thoman, a step brother, Ken Whan, and a half brother, William “Buster” Arbogast. After school, Robert served with the United States Army, and had worked as a heavy equipment operator for J.F. Allen Company for twenty-one years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 until 7 PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11 AM. The Reverend Barry Moll will officiate and interment will be held at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville where members of the H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion, the Tygart Valley Post #3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the WV Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
