Ronald Brad Beckwith, age 27 years, a resident of Slaty Fork, passed from this life to go live with his maker on Saturday, November 26, 2011, due to injuries sustained in a farming accident. Brad was born Friday, September 7, 1984 in Bluefield, WV. He attended Valley Head Elementary School and graduated from Tygarts Valley High School. He was a member of The Big Spring Presbyterian Church and had attended Calvary Assembly of God Church. Brad is survived by the loves of his life, his best friend, sweetheart, and wife, Chandra I. Sharp Beckwith, his daughter, Makayla Leigh Nicole Beckwith, and his son, Wyatt Watson Beckwith. He is also survived by his father Ronnie Beckwith and wife, Sandra of Valley Head, his mother, Donna Lambert and husband, Rick of War, his sisters, Jessica Bailey and husband, Derrick, with their daughters, Adrienne and Kynleigh, and Cadence Lambert, all of War, step sisters, Robin Butcher of Elkins and Carrie Shearer of Huttonsville, and step brothers, Marshall Shearer of Tunnelton and Michael Shearer of Montrose, his grandfather, Don Cook of War, step grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Bennett of Slaty Fork, father and mother-in-law, Rocky and Betty Sharp of Valley Head, a brother-in-law, Cody Sharp of Huttonsville, grandma, Sharon Cutright of Huttonsville, Aunt Vicki Woods and husband, Charles of Slaty Fork, uncles Ralph Beckwith and wife, Nanette of Slaty Fork, Rick Beckwith and wife, Tina of Slaty Fork, Mike Cook and wife, Felicia, Aunt Angie Harman and husband, Dockie all of McDowell County, cousins, Julie and husband, Sam of Cary, NC, Danny and companion, Elaina, Kenny, Dustin and wife, Staci, and Whitney, all of Slaty Fork, Sarah, Christopher and wife, Tracy, Kodey, and Alexas, all of McDowell County, and many friends. Brad is also survived by two very special people he always looked to for guidance in faith, family, business, and farm work, his Grandpa Ralph Beckwith and Grandma Glenda Beckwith of Slaty Fork. Brad was preceded in death by his three infant children, great grandfather, Watson Beckwith and wife, Lola, and great grandmother, Opal Cook, Sherman Cutright, Earl Sharp, Shirley Jean Sharp, and Tammy Sharp. In Brad’s short life, he had never met a stranger and was always ready to help his neighbors with their farming. He loved to farm, raising cattle and corn. He enjoyed WVU football, spending time at the WV State Fair with his family, and discussing politics with most anyone he thought he might convert to his way of thinking or that he might just argue with a little. Brad will be missed very much by his family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday from 1 until 3PM and from 5 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the Grace Ministries Church at Valley Head on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1 PM. The Reverend Jon Tanner will officiate and interment will follow on the Beckwith Family Farm Cemetery at Linwood. A trust fund has been established at the Citizens Bank of WV, P.O. Box 129, Slaty Fork, WV 26291 for Brad’s children, Makayla and Wyatt, where the family suggests memorial contributions be made.
