Ronald Phillip Knotts, age 65, a resident of the Moore Community, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. Ronald was born Sunday, November 17, 1946 at Parsons, a son of the late Virgil Lee Knotts and Goldie Pauline Bohon Knotts. Surviving Ronald are four daughters, Rhonda Jack of Elkins, Goldie Tango of Louisiana, Mary Riley and husband, Sean, of Swanton, MD, and Tammy Poling and husband, Sherl of Norton, one brother, Virgil Junior Knotts of Moore, fourteen grandchildren, Melonee, Matthew, Leah, Alexis, Allison, T.J., Brian, Jessica, Eric, Shawn, Ashley, Aslynn, Adam, and Sierra, three great grandchildren, Adisyn, Kynleigh, and Domarean. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Knotts. Ronald attended the schools of Tucker County, had worked at Kingsford for over twenty-five years in production and grounds keeping, and had worked for Blackwater Falls State Park as a grounds keeper until his retirement. Ronald enjoyed fishing, ginsenging, and going to the races at Elkins Speedway. Visitation will be held at the Summerfield Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday from 6 until 8 PM. A private family service will be held at a later time.
