Ronald S. Thompson 1937-2021 Obituary
Ronald Stevenson Thompson, age 84 years, a resident of Montrose, WV passed
away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in the Davis Medical Center in Elkins. He was born January 24, 1937 in Beverly, WV, a son of the late Edna Thompson. He was formerly married to the late Emma Lucille Arbogast Thompson. Mr. Thompson is survived by one son, Ronald G. Thompson; three daughters, Dora L. Simmons of Belington, Elizabeth M. Williams of Elkins, and Pamela S. Daniels of Martinsburg, WV. Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding him in death were two brothers and four sisters. Mr. Thompson was an avid hunter and a member of the National Rifle Association. Ronald was a forklift operator at Kingsford Charcoal until his retirement. He had worked at Simmons Meat Packing when he was younger and part time at Teets Meat Packing in recent years.
Friends may call from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman, WV. Masks and social distancing are recommended for those attending the service. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Ronald Stevenson Thompson.
