ROSALIE MAE CRAWFORD WHITE 1920-2010 Obituary
ROSALIE MAE CRAWFORD WHITE, age 89 years, a resident of Colonial Place, Elkins, WV departed this life Monday morning, January 11, 2010 at Colonial Place.
She was born Sunday, August 22, 1920 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Emmett Crawford and Jemima Mae Phares Crawford.
On April 11, 1942 at Elkins, WV she was married to Warren Edward “Buck” White, who preceded her in death May 13, 1981.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas Edward White and wife Linda “Jeannie”; Richard Bryan “Dick” White and wife Sherri; Allen Burton White and wife Carsie and Donald James White and wife Paula; all of Elkins; three daughters, Alice L. “Susie” Taylor and husband Glen, Elkins; Cheryl Mae Ororbia and husband Alex, Lewisburg, PA; Joyce Ann Marcell and husband Mike, Hanover, PA; two brothers, Burton Crawford and wife Lillie, Elkins; Alfred B. Crawford, Chesapeake Beach, MD; one sister, Dottie Roach, Elkins; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are one son, Marshall Bradley White; two brothers, Edward and Harold Crawford and one grandchild.
She was a graduate of Elkins High School, was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday.
Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 1:30 PM.
The Reverend Doctor Marvin L. Parli will officiate and interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens at Elkins, WV.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Mountain Hospice, 1600 Crim Avenue, Belington, WV 26250.
