Rosie Louise Currence Iseli 1943-2012 Obituary
Rosie Louise Currence Iseli, 68, of Dailey went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at her home surrounded by family.
Rosie was born on Tuesday, May 25, 1943 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Peter Jennings Currence and Adie Mae Currence.
On January 29th, 1966 at Parsons, Rosie married James “Boots” Iseli, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Vernon P. Taylor and wife, Sherry of Colorado, and Danny L. Taylor and wife, Renee, of Dailey, three daughters Verda B. Wiseman and husband, Charles, of Huttonsville, Sherry D. Lanham and husband, Zendall, of Mill Creek, and Jennifer Messer and husband, Greg, of Dailey, three brothers, Lo Donald M. “Buck” Currence and wife, Arra, of East Dailey, Arnold T. Currence and wife, Dorothy, of Elkins, Henry H. Currence and wife, Barbara, of Beverly, four sisters, Retha F. George and husband, Calvin, of Kentucky, Orvie L. Ramsey of Beverly, Oneta A. Neighbors and husband, Calvin, of Virginia, Judy E. Herron and husband, Doyle, of Elkins, and twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rosie will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda Wiseman, Daniel L. Taylor, Davien, Stephanie, Michael, and Kenzie Taylor, Chad, Shaina, and Charlotte Simmons, Sara Haden, and Tricia and Misty Lanham, and Crystal Hively. Preceding Rosie in death was her first husband, Paul A. “Toddy” Taylor, a granddaughter, Camilia Nicole Roy, a grandson, Nicholas James Roy, a great granddaughter, Asiah Skye Barnett, and a special cousin, Barbara, “Bunny” Currence Chidester.
Rosie attended the schools of Randolph County, had attended the United Methodist Church in Mill Creek for several years, had sang gospel music on the Grady Guye Show on WDNE Radio in the 1950’s, graduated from Pharmacy Tech School, and had volunteered as a Candy Striper. She had worked at several area businesses. Rosie was also a PTA mom and a life time Weight Watchers member. Rosie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She dedicated her life to helping others and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday from 6:30 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1 PM. The Reverend Marshall Williams and Reverend Richard Haney will officiate and interment will follow at the Iseli Family Cemetery at East Dailey.
