Roy Jackson White 1926-2003 Obiruary
Roy Jackson White, 76, a native of West Virginia, and a resident of Catalina Drive, Mooresville, N.C., departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at the Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, N.C.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1926, at Horton, a son of the late Clarence W. White and Nettie Quarry White.
On Aug. 30, 1948, he was married to the former Eleanor Grace Talbott, who survives at Mooresville, N.C.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Alan White and Jay Kevin White, both of Mooresville, N.C.; two sisters, Mildred E. Gutshall, Junior, and Bette L. Sainato, Tallmadge, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Marcus “Bud” White; and one sister, Mary E. Constable.
Mr. White was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and was a retired sales manager for Chevron, USA.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, N.C., and a 50-year member of the Belington Lodge 125, AF & AM.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Jeff Falter will officiate and interment will follow at Belington Fraternal Cemetery near Belington, where members of the Belington Lodge 125 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside rites. T
