Roy Junior Lamb 1941-2021 Obituary
Roy Junior Lamb, age 80 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Thursday morning, October 28, 2021 at his home. He had been in declining health since May.
He was born Thursday, August 28, 1941 at Whitmer, WV a son of the late Roy White and Vista Ellen Lamb. He was raised by his grandparents, Robert and Anna Lamb. On July 10, 1967 at Elkins, WV he was married to the former Brenda Kay Armstrong, who survives. Also surviving are a very special nephew, Cody McSpadden of Elkins; three step grandchildren, Brayden, Levi, and Makayla Judy all of Elkins; and several special nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are two sons, Robert Junior and Christopher Paul Lamb.
He attended the schools of Randolph County, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a cutoff saw operator for Allegheny Lumber Company and later worked at Labcraft, retiring in 1991. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a Christian by faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle who will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 10 to 12 PM Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 12 PM. The Rev. Mike House will officiate and interment will follow at the Armentrout Cemetery at Whitmer, WV where full military honors will be accorded by members of the WV National Guard Honor Guard, the H. W. Daniel’s Post # 29, American Legion and the Tygarts Valley Post # 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
