Ruby Bosley, age 84, of the Alton community, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Pickens on December 12, 1935, a daughter of the late James and Francis Moyers Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Charlotte and one grandson, Jeremy Hamner.
She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Waytman Bosley, to whom she was married for 69 years. Also surviving are one son, David Bosley and wife Terry of Hurricane, WV; three daughters: Amber Grimes of Alton, Shana and husband Dale Morgan of Palace Valley, and Michele and husband Scott Wagner of Alton; three grandsons: Jered Grimes and wife Victoria, Ryan Bosley, and Jeremy Wagner; four granddaughters: Sarah Janey, Jamie and husband Dan Cuadra, Breanna Morgan, and Brittany Wagner-johns and husband Walter; eight great grandsons: Ian Grimes, Jonathan and Nick Janey, Jason, Patrick, and Andrew Cuadra, and Quinton and Carter Johns; two great granddaughters: Isabella Cochran and Mackenzie Johns; a cousin who was like a sister, Mary Towery and husband Don Knox; and many nieces, nephews, and neighborhood “kids” that she loved as her own.
Ruby worked as an LPN for many years until her retirement. She was actively involved in the Alton CEOS, the Order of the Eastern Star, and her church.

At the request of the deceased, the body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
