Ruth Ann Tusing Hamrick, 65, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, March 8, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Ruth was born Wednesday, February 1, 1956, in Elkins, a daughter of the late John William Tusing and Shirley Ann Wilson Tusing. On September 1, 1990, in Elkwater, she married Raymond Hamrick who survives at home.
Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Dona Danielle Wratchford of Morgantown, and Adam Wratchford and wife Kayla of Elkins, three grandchildren, Jacob and Dax Wratchford-coe, and Maleah Thomas, four siblings, Lynnette Hinchman and husband Dale, Cathy Rowan and husband Gary, Johnny Tusing and wife Lisa, David Tusing, and her two dogs, Zeus and Carmel.
Ruth attended the schools of Barbour County. She had been employed at Reidbord Brothers, Elkins Lumber, Snowshoe Resort, in the deli at Kroger, and an in-home daycare provider. She liked to fish and loved going to Elkins Raceway and watching Gameshow Network. Two of her passions were spoiling her grandchildren and feeding the seventeen deer that came into her yard in the evening.
Ruth’s request for cremation was honored. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Saturday, March 13, 2021, from Noon until 2 pm.
