Sena Belle Arbogast 1919-2002 Obituary
Sena Belle Arbogast, 83, a former resident of Valley Head, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2002, at 5:55 p.m. at Nella’s Inc., where she had been a patient for the past 17 months.
She was born March 4, 1919, at Blue Springs, a daughter of the late Jacob Hewitt and Rethia Elmira Dodrill Vandevender.
She was united in marriage to Burton C. Arbogast, who survives at Valley Head.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Charles O. (Phyllis) Sharp of Valley Head; eight sons, William Ray Arbogast and wife, Linda, Walter Ashley Arbogast and wife, June, Fred Clark Arbogast and wife, Judy, Charles Bennie Arbogast, Ronald Wayne Arbogast and wife, Wanda, James Mitchell Arbogast and wife, Susie and Michael Allen Arbogast and wife, Rose, all of Valley Head and Gene Edward Arbogast and wife, Renona, of Nettie; 40 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sons, Charles Wayne and Donald Ray Arbogast; three sisters, Alma Welch, Beulah McCloud and Mary Eva Leary; three brothers, Edwin, Elvin and Archie Vandevender; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Arbogast was employed as a cook at the Country Roads Restaurant and had also worked at Davis & Elkins College.
She worked at Canal Fulton in Akron, Ohio, and retired from Nella’s Nursing Home, where she was employed as an aide.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 103 of Huttonsville and attended the Brady Gate Church.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday after 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Loretta Boggs, of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Valley Head will officiate.
Interment will follow in Stalnaker Cemetery at Monterville.
