Shane Bruce Maxwell, 47, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
Shane was born Saturday, March 10, 1973, in Lynn, Massachusetts, a son of Bruce Anthony Maxwell and Judith Ann Coussoule Maxwell who survive in Saugus, Massachusetts.
Also left to cherish Shane’s memory are four sons, Andrew Shane Maxwell, Ian James Maxwell, Isaac Stephen Maxwell, and Elijah Michael Maxwell, two brothers, Damon Maxwell of New Hampshire and Scott Andrew Maxwell and wife, Leslie, of Phoenix, Arizona, two nieces, Anabelle and Adilene, his best friend, Cindy Malio, and the mother of his children, Susan Maxwell, and many friends.
Shane was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and had attended the University of Massachusetts and Glenville State College.
He had worked as a salesman for Elkins Fordland. He was an avid fan of Boston sports including the New England Patriots, but he got most of enjoyment from coaching, working with, and watching his sons play for the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs football team.
He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and talking, as he never met a stranger.
He was a member of the Elkins Family Worship Center.
Shane’s request for cremation was honored. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
