Sharon Lynn Cross (Kittle) 1953-2021 Obituary
Sharon Lynn (Kittle) Cross, 68, of Belington, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her home.
Sharon was born on April 5, 1953 at Elkins, WV to the late Harold Ray “Jack” Kittle and Lillie Bess (Ramsey) Kittle. On June 19, 1981 at Westside United Methodist Church in Belington, she was united in marriage to William Porter “Bill” Cross, who survives at their home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son; William Aaron Cross & his wife Holly, her grandson; William Beckett, her sister; Deborah White, and her special neighbors; Kevin, Brandy, Skylar, & Trinity Ketchem.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Lois Pharis.
Sharon graduated from Keyser High School with the class of 1971, serving as the National Honor Society president. She worked as a secretary and aide for the Barbour County School system, retiring in 2015. She was tremendously involved in the Philip Barbour Band Boosters for numerous years and she touched so many lives. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #410 in Belington, and attended the Westside United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful and caring woman and was a mother to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 North Brandenburg Street in Belington on Saturday November 27, 2021 from 10am to 12pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lee Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery at Belington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Philip Barbour Band Boosters c/o Lilah Phillips 124 Shenandoah Lane Philippi, WV 26416.
