Shawn Michael Price, 33, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Sunday morning November 15, 2020, at his home. In overall good health, his death was unexpected. He was born Friday, November 6, 1987, at Elkins, a son of Michael and Robin Price who survive in Elkins. Also surviving is one daughter, Ava Allana, Elkins; two sisters, Kristina Dyan Price Ward and husband Andrew, Scott Depot, and Erin Michelle Price, Alexandria, VA; one nephew, Bryce Michael Ward; and two grandmothers, Kathleen J. Price and Nellie M. Galford, Elkins. Shawn was a 2006 graduate of Elkins High School. He worked at Davis & Elkins College from 2006 through 2018, beginning as a caterer and advancing to the position of sous chef, before assuming employment at the 1863 Appalachian Bistro. At the time of his death he was employed at AHF, LLC. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time with his family camping and fishing on the Buckhannon River.
At his family’s request, Shawn was cremated. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a private family memorial service will be conducted at a future date. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of arrangements for Shawn Michael Price.
