Sherry Lee Phillips 1963-2002 Obituary
Sherry Lee Phillips, 39, a resident of the Mackeyville community, Hambleton, departed this life late Friday evening, Nov. 15, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. She had been in declining health for the past two months and death was attributed to a cardiac arrest.
She was born July 16, 1963, at Chardon, Ohio, a daughter of Lonnie Leon Phillips and Mary Lee Dumire Phillips, both of Hambleton.
On July 18, 1981, at Hambleton, she was married to Larry A. Phillips, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughter, Amie Leann Phillips and Amanda Rose Phillips, both at home; four sisters, Lora Evans and husband, Edwin “Bud,” Vera Williams Moran, Paulita Cousin and husband, Jake, and Mary Lynn Phillips, all of Hambleton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 1981. She was an employee of Blackwater Falls State Park Campground at Davis. She was a superb cook, an avid reader and had a great love for music and dancing.
The family will receive friends at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home parlor Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Allen D. Crosten will officiate and interment will follow at Goff Cemetery at Hambleton. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Sherry Lee Phillips.
