OBITUARY: SODOLYA LEE BROOKS Sodolya Lee Brooks, 73, of Beverly Pike, Belington, died Thursday morning, July 25, at her home. She had been in her usual health and her death was unexpected. She was born March 16, 1940, at Widen, Clay County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mary Lucille Brooks Simpson. Surviving are her daughter, Regina Kennedy and husband, Teenie, Belington; grandchildren, Teenie Kennedy Jr., Anik Lynn Kennedy and Ernest Daniel Kennedy; and great grandson, Cayden Lee Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Simpson and Alfonso Brooks. Ms. Brooks was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She attended the Peoples Chapel Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Ruston Seaman will officiate and interment will follow in the Cambria Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour, on Saturday. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
