Stephen B. Derry, 8, the son of Robin and Diane Montgomery Murphy of Buckhannon, the Macedonia community, passed away Friday, April 26, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Derry was born Oct. 6, 1993, in Charlotte, N.C.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his father, Ryan Jordan, Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Alyssa Murphy, at home; maternal grandmother, Pearl Wolfe Montgomery, Philippi; maternal grandfather, Bradford Montgomery, Brownton; paternal grandparents, Roger and Kathleen Jordon, Charlotte, N.C.; and a special thanks to Ron Brady and Aunt Tammy.
He was a second-grader at Hodgesville Elementary School. He enjoyed school, music, his family and friends.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery.
