Stephenson “Steve” Arbaugh 1955-2022 Obituary
Stephenson “Steve” Arbaugh, 66, a resident of Whitmer passed peacefully from this life Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Steve was a proud member of the Whitmer United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Steve had been employed as a tree surgeon for Asphludh tree company, and at Howell Metal for many years.
Steve was born Saturday, September 3, 1955, in Cherry Grove, the son of the late Virgil Woodrow Arbaugh and Darie Ruth Vandevender Arbaugh. On September 7, 1977, in Oakland, MD, he married Rita Elizabeth Cross who survives.
Also left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Monica Arbaugh and husband Donnie McIe, Jessica Runion and husband Preston Jr., granddaughters, Raquel Rice and husband Fred, Kayanna Elizabeth Rudy, grandson, Preston Stephen Runion, siblings, Charlene Bland and husband Ray, June Arbaugh, Larry Arbaugh and wife Linda, Christopher “Crick” Arbaugh and companion Becky, Tony Arbaugh, Linda Vandevender and husband Buck, JoAnn Hedrick and husband Gary, several nieces, nephews, and many friends, and his special companion Snowball, his “Alaskan Bear dog”.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was one grandson, Caleb Steven Luke Arbaugh.
Visitation will be held Thursday at the Whitmer United Methodist Church from 5 PM until 7 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the church Friday, February 18, 2022, at 1 PM. Rev. Mike Lambert will officiate. Steve’s request for cremation will then be honored.
