Steven “Steve” Earl Carder 1955-2021 Obituary
Steven “Steve” Earl Carder, 65, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at home.
Steve was born Sunday, October 9, 1955, in Elkins, a son of the late Carl Comer and Joan McCollam Comer who survives.
Left to cherish his memory are five brothers, Ronald Carder, Richard Carder, Kenneth Comer, David Comer, and Thomas Comer, one sister, Carolyn Phares, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, John and Jeanie Raese, and Diane, Donnie, and Ward.
Steve was a 1973 graduate of Elkins High School. He retired from County Roads Transit where he was a bus driver. He was loved by his co-workers and passengers. Steve loved to visit family, neighbors, and friends. He never knew a stranger.
The family’s request for cremation was honored. A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
