Susan Ann Wilfong 1966-2022 Obituary
Susan Ann Wilfong, age 55, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, after battling lifelong illness.
She was a social worker at WV DHHR and had a passion for helping the people of Upshur and surrounding counties.
She loved her dogs – Max, Maggie and Bubbie and her cat JJ. She enjoyed traveling, with her husband, to the beach and the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Carl Hinzman, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Wilfong of Buckhannon. Also surviving are her mother, Bonnie Hinzman of Buckhannon; one sister, Becky Heatherly and husband David of Kingsland, GA; two brothers, Steve Hinzman, Jr. and wife Gwen of South Hill, VA and Bryan Hinzman and wife Shelly of Lacy, WA; five nieces and nephews, Samantha Young and husband Sebastian of WA, Stephen E. Hinzman of WA, Carly McCranie and husband Coren of Fairmont, WV, Sydney Heatherly of Valdosta, GA and Tyler Heatherly of Statesboro, GA.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
In honoring Susan’s wishes, she will be cremated.
