Susan Cross 1928-2001 Obituary
Susan Knowles Lincoln Cross, 73, of Akron, died suddenly Oct. 12, at home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1928, to the late Harry Thomas and Susan Jennings Knowles Lincoln in Kingwood.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, J. Ray Cross of Akron; son Jenning (Jay) Lee (and Patty) Cross; grandchildren, Seth Amos, Shawn and Jackie Ados, and great grandchildren, Rachel and Madison; brothers-in-law, Willard E. (and Juliette) Cross of Virginia and Charles W. (and Maurine Iris) Cross of Maryland; sisters0in-law Marjoire Duncan Lincoln of Louisiana, Judith A. Cross Cottrell of Doylestown, Deloris D. Cross Tilton of Piqua, OH, Wanda C. Whitehair of Cuyahoga Falls, Vida Mae (and Willis S.) Thomasson of Virginia, Karen S. (and Roger) Braner of Virginia, Grace E. Polhemus of California, Lillian L. (and James) Markley of West Virginia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She retired from Heideman Inc. with 30 years of service.
Cremation has taken place. A service was held at Lakewood Cemetery Oct. 17. Rev. Rich Thewlis officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Goodyear Heights United Methodist church Adams-Mason Memorial Chapel, 330-535-9186.
