Tammy Jo Lothes 1960-2021 Obituary
Tammy Jo Lothes, age 61 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her home under the care of WV Caring Hospice. She was born July 8, 1960 at Parsons, WV, a daughter of Joseph B. Gainer of Parsons and the late Carol “Bonnie” Moore Gainer. On December 24, 1987 she was married to Anthony R. “Andy” Lothes who survives. Also surviving is one son, Ryan Price of Elkins; one daughter, Alegra J. Price of Clarksburg, WV and one brother, Mike Gainer of Sunset Beach, NC; four grandchildren, Katelyn and Samantha Price and Hailee and Isaac Brady; and her loving dogs Fin, Oonaugh, Braxton and Grace.
Also preceding her in death in addition to her mother were her maternal grandparents, Arthur W. Moore and Bricy Sponaugle Moore and paternal grandparents, Braxton C. Gainer and Grace P. Gainer. Tammy was a graduate of Elkins High School and later received her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. She was employed by the Randolph County Board of Education.
Tammy’s request for cremation has been honored. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. At the request of the family, flowers are to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Tammy. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Tammy Jo Lothes.
