Terry Raymond “Handle“ Isner, 69, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life late Saturday evening, September 7, 2013 at the Hospice Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. He was born Wednesday, June 21, 1944 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Robert Isner and Letitia Knox. On October, 13, 2007 in Monterville, he was married to the former Patricia Shafman who survives. Others left to cherish Terry’s memory are four children, Teresa McCauley and husband, David of West Union, Raymond “Lance” Isner and wife, Jamie of Fort Bragg, NC, Amiee Shafman of Elkins, and Jeremy Shafman and wife Verla, of Arkansas, four siblings, Thomas Isner and wife Doris, Max Isner and wife, Pearl, Charlene Starkey all of Ohio, and Betty Murger of Williamstown, eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert B. Isner, John Isner, Susan Isner, and Dorlene Isner. Terry attended the schools of Barbour County, and he had worked as a mechanic for Beckwith Lumber. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles. He loved everything ‘guns’, and had entered many different types of rifle and pistol competitions over the years. He was a Baptist by faith. Terry’s request for cremation was honored.
