Thelma Francis Martin, 84, of Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care and formerly of 212 Chestnut St., Philippi, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, in Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care.
Mrs. Martin was born April 18, 1917, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Lloyd Leslie and Ada Lena Dunnington Cassana.
On Oct. 14, 1960, she married Julius Harold Martin, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1988.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. David (Brenda) Robinson, Philippi, and Martha Harris and Ginger Cassana, both of Cleveland, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Gladys) Boylen, Flemington, Ruth Myers, Florida, and Mrs. Robert (Cheryl) Wilt, Buckhannon; a stepson, Pastor David Martin, Buckhannon; five grandchildren, Jacky Boylen, and Jerry Robinson, both of Philippi, James Robinson, Morgantown, Robert Cassana, Brookpark, Ohio, and Jason Harris, Cleveland, Ohio; a great-grandson, Kyle Jacob; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma DeLauder; and a brother, Willard Cassana.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She attended Silent Grove Church and Baughman Towers Chapel services.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, Wednesday after 5 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Barbour Memorial Cemetery
