Thomas G. Fidler 1938-2003 Obituary
Thomas G. Fidler, 65, a resident of Vinton, Va., passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital at Roanoke, Va.
He was born Feb. 16, 1938, the son of Geraldine Fidler, who survives, and the late Hunter Fidler.
Also surviving is his wife, Barbara Fidler; and children, Terri Fidler Wright and husband, Barry, Susan Hancock and husband, Phil, and Steven Fidler and wife, Crystal.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hunter and Heather Hancock, Bradley, Amanda and Kara Wright; sisters, Brenda Hornbeck and husband, Larry, Evelena Fox and husband, Jim, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fidler was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the military police. He retired from Equifax after numerous years of service.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Vinton Chapel of Oakey’s Funeral Service of Roanoke, Va. On Tuesday, he will be moved to the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins where friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Verl Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Thomas G. Fidler.
