Trecie E. Coleman, 76, of Pickens, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Janet Schultz in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Orphie Cutlip Lough. Her foster parents were the late Jack and Maude Godfrey Perrine.
On Aug. 1, 1948, she married Cecil Gordon Coleman, who preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1991.
Surviving are eight children, Cecil J. Coleman, Webster Springs, John M. Coleman, Pickens, E. Robert Coleman, Clear Springs, Md., Cecelia Smith, Hagerstown, Md., Carol Poyner and husband, Daniel, Boonesboro, Md., Jeanne Lizzi and husband, Philip, Deptford, N.J., Janet Schultz and husband, John, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Evelyn Davis, Pickens; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two brothers, Levi Lough, Craigsville, and Alvin Lough, Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
She was a homemaker and attended Pickens Baptist Church.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Pickens Baptist Church Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Butcher and the Rev. Ray Ogden officiating. Interment will follow in Pickens Cemetery. Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel of Buckhannon is in charge of the arrangements for Trecie E. Coleman.
