Tressia R. Flanagan McGuire, age 69, died June 23, 2012, at home in Bowie, Maryland. Tressia was born August 14, 1942, in West Virginia, to Robert and Ruby Flanagan. She worked as a Program Management Specialist in the Bursar’s Office at the University of Maryland at College Park. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie and also of the Kenilworth Women’s Club. Tressia is survived by her husband, Michael M. McGuire Sr.; three children, Michael M. McGuire, Jr. and his wife Marianne of Odenton, MD, Robert T. McGuire and his wife Kim of Germantown, and Lori D. McGuire of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Robert Flanagan of Hedgesville, WV and Benjamin Flanagan of Huttonsville, WV; and four grandchildren, Colin, Clare, Megan and Katelyn. Visitation was held Wednesday, June 27, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Beall Funeral Home, Bowie, MD. A Funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart Chapel Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Interment for Tressia R. McGuire will be held Friday, June 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley Head Cemetery, Valley Head, WV.
