Twila E. Hinkle of 623 Sexton St., Struthers, Ohio, died early Saturday morning, Nov. 30, 2002, at Saint Elizabeth’s Health Center.
Mrs. Hinkle was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Whitmer, the daughter of Roscoe and Myrtle White Nelson. She moved to the Struthers area in 1949.
She was a nurse’s aide at Maplecrest Nursing Home for more than 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church of God.
Her husband, Loy, whom she married on May 4, 1946, died Feb. 27, 1981.
She leaves three daughters, Vicki (Tom) Linn, Elkins, Deborah (Jim) Humfleet and Shirley (Bill) Pingley, both of Struthers; two sisters, Obelene Mullennex, Uniontown, Ohio, and Joy Sites, Whitmer; four brothers, Monte Nelson, Mio, Mich., Douglas Nelson, Toledo, Ohio, Willis Nelson, Struthers, Ohio, and Larry Nelson, Elkins; five grandchildren, Mandi and Michael Foster, Christine Humfleet, Megan Pingley, Tara (Mike) Rohrbaugh; and one great-granddaughter, Katelyn Rohrbaugh.
Preceding her in death were one son, Loy Jr.; three brothers, Leonard Nelson, Roscoe Nelson Jr. and Deryl Keith Nelson; one sister, Margaret Nelson; and one granddaughter, Tina Foster.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Davidson-becker Funeral Home in Struthers, Ohio, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
